If there is an illustrator, do you recognize the name of the illustrator? Read the description of the book. Does this sound interesting to you? Why does it interest you? Read the book with a grown up.
4. What did you think of the book. Pick one specific part of the story (characters, setting, problem, solution) that you enjoyed. Why did you enjoy it? Talk about what you read with a grown up.

- Art
- Even though you can’t be in the art room today, you can still make art at home! Here
are two projects you can try. Both of these projects let you become an Illustrator! An
illustrator is the person who creates the pictures for a book. You only need to choose
one of these projects. Have fun! - You can use pencil, colored pencil, markers, paint...whatever you have. You can even
use more than one of these for your drawing.
1. Option #1: Read or have someone read a story to you. Imagine a different
ending than the one in the book and illustrate that ending. Label your drawing
with the title of the book and with an explanation of your ending to the story.
2. Option #2: Look around your home, or wherever you are right now, and draw
three objects you see on the same paper. Turn your objects into characters by
drawing each of them a face and arms and legs. Label your drawing with the
names of your characters and make up a story about what they are all doing
together. If you want, add a background to your characters. - Take a picture of your work and email Ms. Vera: [email protected]
